You Tube - If You Can't Beat 'Em...

After watching the videos in the previous section, you may have some ideas about how You Tube could be used as a teaching tool.

Some educators are using You Tube as a means of sharing content in the form of pod casting lectures, while others are using it as an assessment tool. A compelling reason to use You Tube is that there is no need to have thirty, forty, one hundred, or however many students you have, submitting paper assignments. All they need to do is upload their assignment to the net, and they can email a link to the teacher.

Paperless education - could you imagine the environmental impact of that?

The first step to using You Tube is to sign up. You can actually sign up using your Google account that we have used for the blogs and other google applications!

Go to You Tube, and click on 'sign up'. Follow the prompts to get signed up and to select a You Tube user name. This will be displayed on any of your uploaded videos.

If you have any trouble, send a comment to us and we will help you through signing up.
