Okay, I have a Blog, but what do I do with it?

How you choose to use your blog is your decision.

I like the idea of using a blog as a means of keeping students up to date on class information, and posting important links.

If you have any creative ideas, please add them through the 'comments' link.

When you choose how you will use your blog, there are some things that you may want to keep in mind. One of these is copyright issues. If you are doing research that you are hoping to publish, it would be a good idea to keep any information out of your blog because many of the publishing companies have rules about work that has already been 'published'.

Remember that this is a public forum, so anyone could gain access to your posts, so it is best not to publish any personal information that you do not want the whole world to know. Also, it is best not to publish any personal information of third parties without their consent.

Finally, remember that the American Patriot Act allows for a great deal of information to be freely accessible when posted using American databases. Nothing that you post is private.
